Bootcamp…Why? – No Days OFF®
I work out at my bootcamp gym mainly to stay fit. Primarily, that concerns my physical and mental health because that is ultimately what matters to most of us bootcamp class addicts. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have any other ulterior motives however. The “other” reason that I spend time in bootcamp classes when I could be pursuing other endeavors with my time is something that I don’t really talk about, but drives me all the same. That reason is that, like most women, I like to feel attractive.
I know that makes me sound vain to a degree and that is why I don’t like talking about it, but I would think that many a woman feels the same way. Even men, I’d imagine, want to feel like they’re attractive to others. It’s not like I want to be a supermodel. I want to be fit to look and feel good about myself because it’s the healthy thing to do, but I can’t say that having an attractive body due to all my hard work at my bootcamp gym isn’t a driving force as well.
I have tried many different fitness classes over the years, but I would have to say that the bootcamp gym is by far the most effective method I have found in getting myself to looking and feeling the way I want to look and feel. When I started, it was a struggle to stay motivated, but that self doubt all stopped when I started getting quite flattering comments from people that I didn’t even know. That was all that I needed to keep going on the fitness express that is bootcamp. You know, because it’s the “healthy” thing to do. Wink, wink.
