Personal Confidence – No Days OFF®

For the longest time I had a problem with low self confidence and no matter what I did, I couldn’t escape the feeling that I just didn’t fit in anywhere. This was when I was younger and at that time, geeks were shunned whereas nowadays, everyone is embracing their inner geek. Another issue that lends itself to low self confidence is the years of avoiding any kind of physical fitness or a healthy diet. Well, I finally hit my breaking point and I found that simply going to my bootcamp gym has done wonders for my self confidence and it can do the same for you, too.

I was nervous as all heck when I went in for my first class, it’s hard not to be intimidated by the people that are way more fit than you, especially the personal trainers that look like those heroic Greek statues in museums. It didn’t take long to get over my reservations because everyone was welcoming and I didn’t feel that anyone was judging me except myself. As intimidating as those sculpted personal trainers were, well they proved to be the most nonjudgmental people I have ever met and they have helped me tremendously in setting realistic fitness goals and doing my best at eating well, by just being kind and motivational.

Without the personal trainers and what became regular bootcamp classes, I never would have shaved off over a hundred pounds with some still to go. I no longer feel ashamed of my body even though I’m not a Greek statue… yet. Realistically though, that isn’t one of my fitness goals, but my trainers maintain that if I wanted it, there isn’t anything that could stop me from achieving it. I believe them because I finally believe in myself thanks to a chance that I took on joining a bootcamp gym.
